Reporters Can't Get The Story Straight
from the which-way-does-it-go... dept
A few years ago, we noticed two different news stories (not opinion pieces) written by the Guardian in the UK that took the same exact study, but claimed it had completely opposite conclusions. It appears that other news organizations are guilty of this as well. The eagle eyed folks at Engadget have noticed that Techweb published two different stories today about a study concerning the future of Tablet PCs. The two stories are based on the same study. One says: “Tablet PC Faces Uncertain Future, Analyst Says” while the other, “Tablet PCs Headed For Broader Use, Study Says.” Apparently, Techweb is playing “choose your own conclusion” with its articles these days.

The "media" are human
We’ve got to remember the “tech web” did not write the articles but I assume TWO different writers did…we are human.
Re: The
But Techweb *did* publish them… On a professional news site that has editors, you would think this would have been noticed. But, sure, people make mistakes. It doesn’t make it any less amusing.
