Politicians In The US And UK Agree To Talk Once A Year About Spam
from the well,-that'll-solve-everything... dept
A group of spam hating politicians in the UK have teamed up with a group of spam hating politicians in the US to… well, let’s see, it doesn’t really say what they’re going to do. At best, it looks like they’ll get together once a year (either here or there) to talk about spam. Well, that’s a relief. A once yearly cross-Atlantic gathering of politicians who hate spam. It’s not like spammers are likely to make adjustments or anything to whatever weak piece of legislation comes out — assuming any legislation does come out of this.

European spam...
How much spam do you see from EU countries?
Maybe the legislation (and enforcement) is working there, I don’t know. There’s a lot less junk mail coming from there than from here though.

probably will occur during Wimbledon
Maybe the pols can agree on 1) exactly what spam is; 2) whether it’s good or bad; 3) if it is bad, exactly why it’s bad; 4) brainstorm various penalties for spammers; and finally 5) review the different types of spam, and go through items 1-4 for each.
Excellent use of taxpayers’ money.
