Huawei: It's Not Just For Infrastructure Any More

Huawei is quite well known for their wireless infrastructure business (even if many also remember the accusations a few years ago that it had stolen software code from Cisco). They’ve been growing aggressively, lately, including branching out beyond their successful efforts in Asia and Latin America to take on North America and Europe as well. Now, it looks like they’re expanding into 3G handsets. While most Chinese manufacturers have been acting as ODMs, building phones for others, Huawei certainly can build on its own brand name and success in other areas of the market, making it a tough new competitor for many handset makers.
