New York Times Adjusting A Bit To New Media

from the slowly-understanding... dept

It looks like some people at the NY Times are beginning to realize that the internet works a bit differently than the old newspaper world. While we’ve been complaining about news sources you can’t link to, the NY Times has also been ripped in the past for taking itself out of the conversation by not being found on search engines. It looks like that may be changing. They’ve relaunched their tech section, and as part of that have taken down the pay wall for their tech archives. Meanwhile, it also looks like they’ll be starting a tech blog, which is at least an acknowledgment of what’s increasingly expected of news organizations these days.
