Companies Forget To Protect Against Internal Computer Security Threats

from the oh-yeah,-those... dept

Remember the good old days when the majority of your computer security threats came from inside the company? That went away as the internet became the domain of more organized attempts at breaking down security walls of almost every IP address imaginable. However, that doesn’t mean there aren’t still threats from inside the firewall — and it looks like many companies still don’t take insider threats seriously. Once again, it sounds like a more hybrid approach to computer security might make sense. Rather than just watching in one direction, keeping track of things both inside and outside the network is becoming more important.
