Intel's Mobile Chip Strategy Working?

Remember last year when people were wondering if Intel could successfully take on TI in making chips for mobile phones? Well, not everything about Intel’s latest earnings were positive, but they sure seem happy that their mobile phone processors are selling. It’s obviously quite early to see how well Intel really does in the market, but from the sound of today’s announcements, at least someone at Intel still believes it’s a big part of their future. Update: Thanks to Carlo for pointing out that nowhere else does anyone talk about processors, a market that Intel hasn’t been known to have had a huge success in yet, but most places discuss flash memory, which is quite a different thing. It seems likely that a BBC reporter got confused… leading to additional confusion here. Sorry about that.
