Verizon Wireless Expands Flat-Rate Borders

In a move designed to target ex-pats from Canada and Mexico (and Puerto Rico) living in the US, Verizon Wireless has expanded their flat-rate calling plan to cover Canada, Mexico and Puerto Rico with no additional roaming or long distance fees. It’s interesting to see how these things evolve from regional flat-rates to national flat-rates to (now) continental flat-rates. When will someone offer the global flat-rate? Either way, I imagine this will be enticing for anyone who regularly calls any of these places.
