If you thought that the RIAA was going a little overboard in sending out warning letters and lawsuits to people, take a look at how the Japanese version of the organization is handling the matter. They haven’t filed lawsuits yet, but they’re sending out approximately a million warning letters – soon to be followed by lawsuits. That’s an awful lot of time, effort and money. Didn’t someone think that maybe they’d be better off putting that effort towards providing customers what they want, rather than trying to forbid them from listening to music?
