Network Lock-In Is For Suckers

The issue of “locked vs. unlocked” mobile phones is causing problems for mobile carriers, who like the idea of getting people hooked into their service with a nice, subsidized phone – that they can only use via their own service. However, many people don’t like to be locked in, and tools are available to unlock phones that were originally “locked” (not too well, apparently) for specific networks.
