Telecom Workers Ask For Mercy From Angry Customers

from the not-our-fault dept

We’ve all done it at some point. Upset with lousy service or pissed off at being on hold too long, we’ve unfairly taken out our anger on the customer support rep who is unlucky enough to be at the other end of our phone call. Now, some customer support employees at telecom firm Telus have taken out an ad in the local paper apologizing to customers for lousy service – and saying it isn’t their fault. The support workers (under the guise of the union) say that management has cut back on service drastically resulting in the horrible experience people are having – but the workers would like customers to stop taking it out on them. They say they’re doing everything they can under “adverse conditions” to solve their problems.
