Faculty Warned To Watch Out For Phone Cheaters

Found over at textually.org is this story about how faculty at the University of Colorado are being warned about the potential of students to cheat via their mobile phones. Of course, some students will always figure out a way to cheat, and the cheating techniques are always going to be slightly ahead of where they’ll get caught. As the article points out, beyond using mobile phones to communicate back and forth, some students are even creating cola or water bottle labels that look normal, but replace the nutritional info with class notes or exam answers. To be honest, it sometimes reaches the point where you wonder if the kids put half as much time and effort into studying as they do into cheating, if they wouldn’t do better on the exam.
