Video Games Improve Hearing Too?

from the sounds-wonderful dept

Remember that study from a few months back saying that video games improve kids’ vision? Well, now a new study has found another sense is improved through regular gaming. It turns out that kids who play video games have better hearing than those who don’t. Well, not exactly… The study actually focused on a specific game created to improve listening skills – though, the creator of the game claims that ordinary video games can help with hearing too. Seems a bit sketchy. Any other senses we can improve through videogames? Clearly touch is the next one that needs to be studied. Where’s the study saying that, due to constant gamepad button pressing, video gamers have a better sense of touch in their fingertips?
