UK Companies Unconvinced Of Value Of WiFi… So Far

What is it with people who like to dance on the supposedly early grave of a very much alive WiFi? The latest study to come out of the UK talks about how UK companies don’t plan to implement WiFi anytime soon. First of all, studies asking companies “what do you plan to do?” are notoriously weak predictors of what companies are actually going to do. There’s no rule that says companies had to all roll out WiFi in the course of a year to make it successful. There certainly are cost and implementation consideration to take into account in setting up a WiFi network. Yes, there are benefits – many of which companies probably aren’t taking into account when making their decision – but that doesn’t mean WiFi is a dud. It just means it’s not catching on overnight.
