Mobs Of People Trying To Get Mobile Phones In Kashmir

Think there’s an untapped demand for mobile phones in the “disputed region” of Kashmir? After announcing that mobile phone service would begin their next week, hundreds of people lined up just to get forms to apply for mobile phones. The Indian military has been against turning on the service, as they’re afraid that it will make it easier for their enemies to plan attacks. However, the massive turnout suggests that there are plenty of residents who see positive reasons to have a mobile phone.
