Broadband Users Buying More Than Their Fair Share Online

from the always-on...-always-buying dept

I imagine this is a surprise to no one, but people who have broadband connections tend to buy more online. Specifically, the 19% of people who have broadband connections at home are responsible for 31% of the online shopping that goes on. They’re also more likely to be highly educated and wealthier than their dial-up counterparts. In other words, this report is trying to say that those crazy broadband home users are a gold-mine for marketers. I’m almost surprised there wasn’t a stat in the report mentioning that home broadband users are better looking as well.
