Web-Savvy Business Travelers Finally Get Bosses' Nod

from the book-away-online dept

It appears that many larger companies are finally realizing that it’s just easier for employees to book any travel arrangements themselves online, rather than having to go through a corporate travel office or corporate-approved travel agent. What may have pushed them over the edge was the discovery that many of their employees were going and booking online anyway, without official permission. Also helping are new offerings from the various travel sites to offer customized pages for corporate travelers to match with corporation rules and regulations. Somewhat surprising that it’s taken this long, but some habits die hard – especially in big companies.
