Sony Ericsson To Stop Production Of CDMA Phones For U.S.

Just as Nokia is finally making a push to get back into the CDMA handset market, Sony Ericsson has announced that they’re getting out of the North American market for CDMA phones, and will concentrate on GSM phones instead. They will keep selling CDMA phones in Japan, though. It sounds like the reason for this is to help them focus in on one segment and try to finally reach some sustainable level of profitability.
