Hutchison's 3 UK Tells Rivals To Get Off The 3G Fence
In an effort to stop having everyone focus on how big a failure they’ve been Hutchison’s 3 is complaining that other wireless carriers in the UK are too slow to offer 3G services. Well, with Hutchison’s “success” story to lead the way is it any wonder that the others are taking it a bit slow? Hutchison’s like the crazy first kid in summer camp who (without thinking) runs and jumps into the lake, and then has to pretend (through chattering teeth) that “oh yeah, come on in, the water’s warm!” I have no problem with pushing carriers to do their best to launch 3G services, but I’d prefer that they do it right, with systems that work, and with plans that are well-thought out and fairly explained, than to just hype whatever they can think of without executing on their promises.
