Wireless Firm Raises $34 Million

Yet another reminder that venture capitalists still see wireless (and WLAN, specifically) as a hot market. Trapeze Networks has just raised another $34 million, which, these days, is quite a lot of loot for a startup. The company is working on WLAN switches. I don’t know much about their actual products, so I have no comment on the specific offering they’re coming up with, but I think the largest amount raised is an indication that many VC firms are feeling pressure to hunt down the “next big wireless” thing.
