The crooks these days are getting more creative. In China, a man went into a mobile phone store with a woman. He asks to test out a specific phone, and leaves his “wife” in the store as collateral. Then he never comes back. The woman claims she just met the guy and doesn’t even know his name. He just asked her to come along and help him buy a mobile phone. It seems that social engineering tricks are working their way down to petty theft as well.
