It's Global Anti-Spam Day – But There's Nothing You Can Do

from the what's-the-point? dept

I really had no idea that today is “Global Anti-Spam Day”, which is apparently being sponsored by Yahoo to “raise the profile” of the spam problem. I didn’t know it needed any profile raising either. I don’t think that’s the real issue, these days. Most people know it’s a problem – they’re desperately looking for a solution. I’m not really sure what a special day does to help us get any closer to the solution.

It’s called MindComet Total Control, and you can find out more about it on Messaging Pipeline, Internet Week or the product’s page. They offer demos where you can test the product by trying to get spammed and see for yourself that this idea works.
