Music Industry Goes On The Offensive To Push Legal Downloads

from the missing-the-point dept

You have to wonder what the geniuses in the music industry who come up with these ideas are thinking. Their latest waste of money (and servers) is to put up a special website telling people where to go and how to use legal (fee-based) music download sites. I hate to break it to the folks who spent time and money putting this together, but the issue isn’t that people don’t know where these sites are or how to use them – but that they don’t see the reason to pay high fees for little value. Instead of talking down to their customers and calling them criminals, perhaps the industry should try to figure out how to give them what they want.
