Wireless Industry Says They Will Meet 911 Deadline

For all the complaining (and, man, have they been complaining) the wireless carriers have done about implementing an E911 service, they’re now saying not to worry, they’ll get it done in time for the FCC-imposed deadline. There are still some challenges, but they have nothing to do with technology. It’s all about “coordination and funding”. Well, perhaps funding wouldn’t be such a big problem if they hadn’t spent all the money they collected for the service on winter boots.
