Online Ad Outlook Brightens?

from the ads-to-the-rescue? dept

Don’t look now, but some are saying that the online ad business is turning around. More and more large marketing companies are focusing larger budget slices towards online advertising, and moving away from more traditional mediums. This slow, but increasing, shift is helping many online businesses that rely on advertising to stay in business. Of course, some of this is due to the larger and more intrusive advertising forms that advertisers understand better than the cramped banner ad. The article also points out that this shift may impact the way TV advertising is done as well – since advertisers no longer see as much value in the 30 second TV commercial. Instead, they expect to see more sponsorship and product placement ads. I’m not sure how this logically follows. As internet advertising becomes more like TV commercial advertising, TV advertising starts to move away from that format?
