A New Wave Of Wireless

The Washington Post has gone on a wireless kick today with a whole series of articles about the “new wave of wireless” technologies. They’re really just rewriting the same article everybody writes when they discover that, “hey, this WiFi stuff might be a big deal”. They have some other articles around WiFi, though, that are a little more interesting, such as an article about how once people are untethered via WiFi, they never want to go back. There’s also the inevitable writeup comparing the WiFi hype to the reality focusing on the speed claims. There’s also the typical WiFi setup tips and discussions about WiFi security. Most of this is nothing new if you follow WiFi, but just another data point to show just how mainstream WiFi has become.
