Digit Wireless Signs Up With Microsoft

The Digit Wireless solution of placing keyboard buttons in-between and around the numbers on a phone keypad is certainly interesting. People who have played with it insist that it’s very intuitive and works great. I’m always a little worried about convincing users that a new input method is worth the learning curve, but I’m willing to wait and see with this one. The company claims they’ve been working on all sorts of big name deals, and have now announced a relationship with Microsoft. This looks mostly like a relationship designed to generate a press release at this point – since there are no actual products launched. All it does is discuss “plans” to work together to tailor the Fastap keypad stuff for Microsoft-bsaed devices. It would be much more interesting if they were actually coming to market with a product.
