It's Time For A Super Network
from the combine-everything- dept
It seems the folks over at Gartner have realized that all the fighting and yelling over various communications standards is all prelude for a future world where there’s just a single “super network” for all different communications technologies, whether they’re fixed-line, wireless, voice or data. They’re suggesting that companies in any space that touches on this area start to wake up to this fact as well. Going forward, it’s going to be important to have a strategy that takes advantage of just such a “super network”, and not get bogged down fighting over things like which wireless technology you’re going to use.

Gosh, back to the future, eh?
Those craft Gartner guys though nobody would remember the background to RFC 791…all the networks (each with its own protocols and communities) became collectively the Internet!
So see Mike: that .
