Wireless Internet For Guests Now At Smaller Hotels

Not really a surprise, but it seems that WiFi isn’t just for luxury hotels any more, as plenty of smaller chains are jumping on the bandwagon. To be honest, I hadn’t realized it was only in luxury hotels before – assuming the smaller hotels would be faster to realize the opportunity. Hotel managers have noticed that they’re getting a ton of calls asking if they have WiFi, and realizing (took ’em long enough) that people were making hotel decisions based on which places had WiFi. I know that for the past year and a half, any time I’ve traveled I always call hotels to find out if they have WiFi and tell them specifically I’m not staying there because of the lack of WiFi when they don’t have it.
