Hello, Tech Designers? This Stuff Is Too Small
So many complaints. For years, people complained that mobile phones were too big, and now people are complaining that everything is getting too small. The problem, people say, is that the designers are all young – and have good eyesight, while many users are much older. Designers are also targeting young consumers with their products, and thus focus on making them ever smaller, and ever cooler. However, more and more people are complaining that mobile phones and wireless devices make things too small. The devices are too small, the screens are too small, and the keyboards are too small. Of course, there are still larger alternatives, and I would imagine that eventually device and handset makers will start making products for a variety of consumer segments, instead of just focusing on the young “hip” users.
