Danger Scores New Funds
Danger, makers of the Hiptop wireless platform, has secured $35M in new funding which it believes can carry it through profitablity. Currently T-Mobile USA is Danger’s only live customer with the T-Mobile Sidekick product. Orange is also a customer but has not disclosed when it plans to launch services. However rumours of a summer European launch have been circulating for sometime. Also there is speculation that Danger will announce another US carrier within the next few months. Our bet is that it will be SprintPCS.
