Some Free-Shipping Offers Not So Free
from the all-you-do-is-complain... dept
The last few times I’ve ordered stuff from Amazon, I’ve used their free shipping option. It seems great. However, people are always looking for reasons to complain. Some people apparently weren’t all that happy with all the free shipping offers available online the past few months. They thought there were too many restrictions and ended up paying for shipping after being “lured” to the sites with promises of free shipping. I don’t really see how they have much of a right to complain, since it is a free thing, after all. Amazon, especially, makes the conditions very clear. The guy in the article who complained said it would take 2 extra days, but in my experience the free shipping still gets to me within a couple of days anyway.

I love the free shipping. As you said it takes about the same time for me as the regular shipping.
And I’m sure Amazon loves it when I add a couple of extra items to my order in order to reach the $25 free shipping threshold.
Amazing
I find it staggering that people will pay $10 for shipping in order to avoid paying $5 in taxes.
Someone needs a cluestick.

Amazon is really padding their shipping days too. When you checkout it gives you a ship date 5-7 days out – yet the product is usually at my door before the original estimated ship date. Under promise and over deliver works every time!
