Feds Raid Boston Tech Firm For Al Qaeda Link

from the backdoors? dept

The hot story of the morning, which everyone seems to be reporting is that federal agents raided the offices of Ptech, a Boston based technology firm, early this morning. They’re accused of being a front to funnel money to Al Qaeda. Potentially even worse, though, are reports that the feds are worried that Ptech put backdoors into the products they sold to many different government agencies. If any of this is true, it certainly is quite alarming… however, it’s also alarming just how fast this story has grown. It seems like the perfect “fear-mongering” story that will get everyone talking. I am concerned, but I’d prefer to wait for the facts before I get too worried.
