Mourning Becomes Electronic: A Final Webcast Place
from the sounds-awful dept
The NY Times has an article talking about a new movie that discusses the idea of someone putting a webcam in their grave after they die. In the movie, the idea even gets to the point where the coffin is temperature controlled, so that anyone on the intnernet can try to increase or decrease the rate of decay (yes, this is disgusting). The article points out, though, that this is an example of just how much ideas like the internet and webcams have permeated our lives – that people are thinking about how to take them forward into the afterlife as well.
