Technology Revolution Is No Hoax
from the well,-duh dept
As many people have been saying for years, despite all the hype (both good and bad) about technology, there’s no denying that some technology does help productivity – but only if chosen carefully and implemented well. Large aggregate studies that look at the overall effects of technology on productivity are useless, because they lump all the bad implementations in with the good – such that they usually cancel each other out. Now, a new study that looks more closely at implementations shows that yes, technology can help productivity. I don’t think this is at all surprising, but they point out that the backlash against technology is leading companies to miss opportunities.

Pretty obvious
It only makes sense that some business models would benefit more from technology than others. The most obvious point is that technology, like everything else, benefits those companies that have the management and commitment to better themselves.
Technology can not cure poorly run and executed businesses.
