What Happened To The Analyst Who Didn't Support Enron
from the fired dept
The last in the Washington Post series on stories about the “bubble” is all about a research analyst who was pushed out of Merrill Lynch during the boom for failing to support Enron. For years, this analyst had been asking questions about certain things Enron was doing, and it kept getting him into trouble. It’s a very good look at just how much the investment banking side of Wall Street influenced the research side. What used to be a “Chinese Wall” that was supposed to separate the two, clearly disappeared completely by the late 90s.
