Cable Companies Don't Tell You That You Can Pick Your Own Lineup

from the pick-and-choose dept

I always wanted to be able to pick specifically which cable channels I received. I get a ton of junk along with the stuff I really want to see, and I’m not really interested in getting a hundred extra useless channels just to watch a premium movie channel. However, there’s now a law that says cable companies can’t force you to buy a package deal to get a premium movie channel. You should be able to pick the channels you want, and (in some cases) get a cheaper deal. It’s no surprise, of course, that the cable companies haven’t been advertising this fact, and are hoping that no one figures it out.
