Can Cypress Bite Into Bluetooth Market?
It seems that not only do Bluetooth proponents need to worry about UWB, but they also need to look at WirelessUSB. Cypress Semiconductor is introducing a new chip with WirelessUSB, which they is simpler and costs less than Bluetooth. Most importantly, it has less latency that Bluetooth, making it more useful for gaming applications. It doesn’t have all the features of Bluetooth, but certainly could take away some of its market.
