Slow Download Speeds Capture Interest Of Internet Surfers
from the it's-all-about-anticipation dept
dsg writes in to tell us of a study that slower download speeds captured more excitement from surfers in some situations. It appears the study consisted of showing people porn that downloaded at different rates of speed, and measuring “skin conductance levels” to determine “excitement”. Slower downloading pages raised those levels, suggesting the anticipation heightened the interest of the surfers.
