Coke Does SMS in China

Top international brands are starting to integrate SMS into their marketing mix. Coke ran a SMS based contest in China that generated 4 million text messages over 35 days. In Europe and Asia where usage is high, SMS is a viable marketing vehicle. But marketers need to be careful to not overuse SMS. As soon as people start to receive junk SMS the value of the medium will vanish.
