CDMA2000 To Propel Wireless Internet Market

A new study has come out saying that carriers who offer CDMA2000 networks should expect a “wireless boom”. The report says that carriers who offer CDMA2000 are better at tying in services, which work better over the faster network anyway. The report also predicts that DoCoMo’s 3G i-mode will stall out (there’s plenty of evidence this has already started, so it’s no big surprise) due to weak coverage, few applications, and high prices. In the end, the report says, it all comes down to pricing, something the carriers have struggled with over the years.
