Pet Supplies Find Sales on Internet

from the don't-look-now dept

It’s become quite the cliche to use “selling pet food online” as the example of the most ridiculous of the dot com stupid ideas. However, the NY Times is reporting that pet supply sales online aren’t looking so bad these days. Don’t expect a return of the sock puppet and other crazy marketing schemes, but some companies (taking a more modest approach) are discovering that it really is a pretty big market out there, and people are willing to buy petfood online – though, perhaps at a slower rate than the original petfood dot coms had hoped.
