Nextel Going For Consumers
US carriers envy Nextel’s high ARPU and strong position in the business wireless market. But Nextel seems to be setting its eyes squarely on consumers. For the upcoming holiday season, Nextel is offering special edition Motorola phones, one co-branded with swiss army knife company Victorinox and another exclusive to Bloogmindales. Add this announcement to their youth-oriented MVNO and you might get the sense they are looking to dump their construction worker image.
