Sierra Wireless's Q3 Surprise
Wireless modem maker Sierra Wireless reported a surprise Q3 profit of $503,000 that sent their stock up 28 percent. The strong numbers are probably due to orders from wireless carriers that launched new data networks over the last two quarters. Given the weak demand for these networks, it’s unlikely that Q4 will be as good to the Sierra Wireless.
