Intel to Invest $150 Million in Wi-Fi Technology

It’s no secret that Intel loves WiFi, and sees it as a driving force in increasing the demand for their chips. Their latest move in support of WiFi is an announcement to invest $150 million into companies working on WiFi technologies. This, of course, makes a lot of sense, but I do wonder if it will eventually put them into conflict with the random folks out there who keep suggesting that WiFi is some sort of “threat”.
