Schwab co-CEO Blasts Wall Street Stock Research

It seems that everyone is having fun blasting Wall Street these days – even folks who make their living there. Charles Schwab’s co-CEO, David Pottruck, said that research reports would have been better off labeled as “marketing reports”. He says that companies used brokers and analysts as a distribution channel for their product – which was equity. He also doesn’t see it getting any better in the near term.
