Will People Pay For Content Online?

from the not-much,-it-seems dept

A study in Europe says that only 10% of Europeans have bought content online, and there are plenty who don’t plan on buying content online in the future, either. Of those that are buying, approximately half of it goes to pornography (as they say, no surprise there). Nearly one quarter of people surveyed said they would be willing to pay for music online, with a smaller percentage willing to pay for movies. 16% said they would be willing to pay for news and archives – which was surprising to the BBC.
