When 3G Is Not 3G

Carriers are dangerously close to reliving a “wap is crap” like scenario. They are using 3G to describe services which are technically 2.5G. Granted, consumers could care less about the 2.5G versus 3G debate. But by using the label 3G and positioning what are really transitionary data services as the next big thing, carriers are doing what they always do, over-promise and under-deliver. And they wonder why there is so much churn in this industry.
