UMTS In The US
According to IPWireless CEO Chris Gilbert, “There are now more commercial UMTS systems deployed in the U.S. than there are in Europe.” At least through next month maybe. Thanks to IPWireless’s technology a few independent WISPs are deploying UMTS based services in the US. But nothing yet on the scale of European carriers are launching.
