Cell Phone-Tumor Lawsuit Tossed
There continues to be inconclusive evidence that cell phones cause cancer. The industry got some major relief today after a federal judge dismissed a lawsuit filed against Motorola and a number of US carriers alleging that their early analog models led to tumors. The lawsuit was filed by neurologist Dr. Christopher Newman, who believes his analog cell phone usage is the cause of his own brain tumor. But the court found his evidence lacking and not substantial enough to go to trial.
