Sony PlayStation Goes TiVo

I’m actually surprised it’s taken Sony this long to announce that they’re planning to add TiVo-like PVR functionality to the PlayStation console. Sony has a relationship with TiVo already for other devices, so it may actually be TiVo that they’re talking to about the technology. Meanwhile, Microsoft has made it clear that they’re doing the same thing with the Xbox, so it’s only natural for Sony to follow suit.
